If your Ford Edge is overheating there can be many causes. One of these is the water pump. The water pump is the heart of the cooling system. It is run by a belt and circulates water or antifreeze throughout the engine. Sometimes a faulty water pump is very obvious. There will be coolant leaking from around the engine, not the radiator or hoses. When your Ford Edge is running there might be enough pressure in the coolant system that prevents it from leaking but when you turn your Ford Edge off, the coolant will really start to leak and puddle under the vehicle.
